humungus ◊ 2026-06-21 19:00	For most of its brief screen time this van shows its plate clearly, so of course the original main pic was this: C171 HVP returns a 1986 Freight Rover Sherpa 280 (yes, that's 280, not 200).

I have learned something as I did not realise they went that heavy in the narrow body ones (wide body Sherpa "300" started with 285 which is only marginally heavier). In my searching was amused by a news report from 1986 stating they hoped to have a replacement to market by 1990 (the design ended up staying in production with more facelifts until 2005).
