dsl ◊ 2014-01-10 13:28	Nice research. Red #5 seems to be Stew McMillen's car in 1969 US F5000 series (sporadic appearances only), but nothing found for #96 that year although looks another Eisert?? (seems 4-5 were built for F5000 69-70). Link ^ and Link to "www.oldracingcars.com"

allenbrown ◊ 2022-08-17 19:08	I would guess this was staged, as the two cars are Jerry Eisert's yellow Indy car and his customer Stew McMillan's Formula A car and never appeared in the same event. Both were built by Eisert at the start of 1969 and both were intended to go to the Indy 500. After McMillan decided to retire in May 1969, the red car was at Eisert's workshop awaiting a buyer, so could have been used for this filming then - I would suggest in June or July 1969. Neither car would have looked like this by 1976, so they were using old footage in this production. -- Last edit: 2022-08-17 19:10:42
