Excalibur Series III? |

Short boot and looks smaller than I'd expect for Excalibur. Windscreen frame in 3rd frame looks very home-made. |

In every case some retro-shit and no real classic. |

So home-made special?? Nothing obviously identifiable for components. |

Not neccessarily homemade. Somewhere we have similar looking junk here, but I don't know where and under what name. |

I think I've finally nailed this monstrosity: This is a 1983+ (found some that are claimed to be 1975 and onwards, but Wiki says they were produced from '83) Gazelle, a horrendous Mercedes SSK replica. I would put Deluxe as the model name: https://www.lemaymarymount.org/vehicle.php?vID=1907 Gazelle was one of the numerous makes by Fiberfab, who were based in Santa Clarita, CA, so US origin. Despite the production by Fiberfab, I would still list this as a "1983 Gazelle Deluxe" just like we don't list Geos as "Chevrolet Geo." -- Last edit: 2015-06-27 21:49:49 |

Any objections or is this solved? |

The tail of this car is completely different from the Gazelle in your link. |

I'm going nuts! All the Gazelles I find have that stupid blocky tail end! |
|

We already have a few Gazelles on the site: /vehicles_make-CMC_model-Gazelle.html but none of them have this tail end! |

....maybe they used a different car for the rear views? This is really bugging me because the rest of the car matches! -- Last edit: 2015-08-31 20:11:46 |

Now that you say it... Main car seems to have a fairly compact windscreen. The thumbnail car appears to have some awful painted wood thing. |

So in the end, is it a Gazelle or not? |

Something interesting I found recently. Gazelles were made by three different companies: Link to "www.thetruthaboutcars.com" But yes, label it a CMC Gazelle to clear it. It matches well enough (with the thumbnails being a different vehicle). |

Thumbnails are: /vehicle_302421-Jaguar-21-2-Litre-MkIV-1948.html Did not think that that car would have such a clumsy looking windscreen. |
