The Honolulu Police Department only used the LTD Crown Victoria for subsidized(personal)vehicle patrol. In the later seasons(Seasons 6-7) as seen through the additional images provided by night_cub. The paint job was changed from the department's paint job(1960's-1980 light blue & white with the actual department badge) used at the time to a fictional state police paint job(darker blue & white with the fictional state police badge). The paint job change was more likely due to a fear of a lawsuit for unauthorized use of the department insigma by then Chief of Police Douglas Gibb upon being police chief during season 6 to the final season. The LTD's were used on a previous show filmed in Hawaii called Hawaiian Heat(1984) that was also filmed in Hawaii during season four of Magnum that used the same 1960s-1980 department light blue with white paint job along with a fictional badge painted on the doors before being canceled after one season by ABC. I uploaded a night image of the "State Police" LTD seen in the later seasons of Magnum.
