I do indeed think this is an early, unstyled (1935 - 1938) B - except that I cannot clearly see the steering arrangement (if present) on the picture. The sttering rod of the B (like most early JDs) running above the engine, and I don't see anything of the sort here. The exception amongst the row-crop JDs of the time was the "G", and this could indeed be an early (unstyled, i.e. pre-1939) one, although the placement of the exhaust and air filter let me slant towards "B" (although the G's wasn't very dissimilar). A clearer picture could help a lot to clarify. |
