Can someone check: KWA 210J and LWE 766K (UK-plates). |

Those numbers checked against Morrison, Morrison-Electricar, Morrison Electricar and Electricar with no details found by my search on the DVLA site. |

Mmm, can you leave the make empty, or is it a mandatory field? |

Its a mandatory field. Leaving it empty results in a rejected request. So you need to have a proposed makers name to work from, this is the main problem in checking details as the maker's name can vary even if you know the manufacturer. By the way. I believe there is a special road-tax rate for electric vehicles either reduced or possibly even free (free also for ambulances) but I guess it should still show-up on the site as being legal and taxed! -- Last edit: 2006-08-31 14:34:43 |

In typical DVLA fashion, the floats were registered as 'Morris', presumably after a re-registration in 2001 (I have never encountered a more useless and ignorant office than the DVLA this side of the Home Office). Here are the details for both vehicles: Manufacturer MORRIS Model Body type FLOAT Colour Fuel type ELECTRICITY Date manufactured 01 January 0001 Number of previous owners 2 Last owner change 27 June 2001 Manufacturer MORRIS Model Body type FLOAT Colour Fuel type ELECTRICITY Date manufactured 01 January 0001 Number of previous owners 3 Last owner change 17 February 2004 Please note: A manufacturing date like '01 January 0001' is used by the DVLA when a vehicle gets newly registered after being parked-up/rebuilt/etc., i.e. is not registered for more than a year and/or the previous registration documents have been lost. |

None registered, Junkman has 'copied and pasted' all the information on the DVLA site. Although for the future it looks like they have provision for adding the models, I guess it will take a long time if at all! |
