why a limited edition? ![]() The colour looks like the 1971 geminimetallic -if original-, the only linited edition back than was the "Weltmeister", which was always in marathonmetallic. The alloys are some unique Italien stuff, nice looking, coveted by the freaks, but generally illegal (at least in Germany) |

Eeh, no! The "Weltmeister"-edition was in 1972, when the Käfer overtook the Ford T and became the most built car model. There was a special edition for the Weltmeisterschaft 1974, a 1200 in cliffgrün. And every member of the German team got a Käfer Cabriolet. Recently there was a story about one of those, the owner was maybe Jupp Heynckes IIRC. |
