That looks like a South Midland fleetname - it's more likely to be an AEC Regal III - my 1961 fleetlist shows a handful of Duple bodied Regal IIIs but no Albions. -- Last edit: 2006-08-03 00:00:52 |

I don't insist on that one, it was the closest I got ... and a nice name! ![]() Only the passenger door is a bit strange compared to this one: http://www.timmonet.co.uk/assets/images/LPT328.jpg But that is not better on the Albion Valkyrie picture: http://www.vintagecommercialvehicle.freeserve.co.uk/albion/010-32a-2000g.jpg -- Last edit: 2006-08-03 00:26:57 |

Ah, you found that one! I was just looking at it myself.... Because we can't see the radiator we're guessing, I think. The Valkyrie was relatively rare, the Regal very common. I'll keep looking. |

South Midland fleetname looks right and only AEC chassis found on http://www.buslistsontheweb.co.uk/ Link to "www.flickr.com" 1948-9 AEC Regal III Duple rather than Albion Valkyrie |
