![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() This is original footage from the Rally of the Danube in 1983, that took place in the region of Sibiu (coefficient 2 event in the European Rally Championship). This particular car is the one of the Attila Ferjancz/Janos Tandari team from Hungary, who came winners at the end of the rally. Some of the other in the movie are fictional rally cars and did not take part in the rally, except (I believe) for those with the Shell logo next to their competition numbers. Other competitors in this rally came from East Germany, West Germany, Bulgaria, Poland and USSR. Total length of the stages: 361 km (215 gravel/146 tarmac). This Renault 5 was a 1.4 Turbo "Tour de Corse" (265 hp). More info: http://www.imagebam.com/image/0c7f12116602722 -- Last edit: 2011-11-13 23:30:55 |

The argument of Exiv96 /vehicle_83419-Renault-5-Turbo-1983.html , that rally Turbos weren't called Turbo 2 sounds pretty strong. Also in case of this car we can see mirrors and bumpers typical for the pre-1983 car (both "civilian" and rally one). Was it listed at the entry list (or sometihng like that) as Turbo 2? -- Last edit: 2011-11-13 20:09:21 |

The announcer at the start calls it only "Renault 5 Turbo", the magazine also. I couldn't see a start list of the rally yet. |

Terrible mistake. The year when Ferjancz had the number 1 and the was start in the evening was 1983. ![]() ![]() -- Last edit: 2011-11-13 23:54:12 |

Oh, this magazine looks interesting. Do you have issues from the early 70ies? ![]() |

Hmm, most of them are 1975 onwards. |
