I readed in somewhere (i dont´t remebember where) that Volkswagen gives to the film 4 Volkswagen Touran and 2 R32 pre-production models... -- Last edit: 2006-07-27 00:56:35 |

It looks as if the R32s are both five-door models painted in green and white: http://img228.imageshack.us/my.php?image=1aff3tokyodriftm1zy.jpg http://img228.imageshack.us/my.php?image=1aff3tokyodriftn1sg.jpg |

more than likely a VW MkV GTi. I think the MkV "R" was rumored to be badged as a R36 and not R32 since it will have a larger engine. I think the 4 door MkV "R" model will be R32 only. I bet those wheels were from the Audi A8. I've seen someone swap A8 wheels on a new GTi recently on another forum. -- Last edit: 2006-07-27 07:32:59 |

It´s a R32! See, in Wikipedia apears as a R32: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/The_Fast_and_the_Furious:_Tokyo_Drift And the final trail, this IMDB trivia line: "Volkswagen donated 4 prototype R32's and 4 Touran minivans to fulfill its pledge with Universal to plug each other's products. As a result, R32's are in the movie." http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0463985/trivia |

The R32s VW donated in the movie looked like this Link to "a332.g.akamai.net" Edmunds drove the R32s from tokyo drift and they were not red in color http://www.edmunds.com/insideline/do/Features/articleId=115644#1 The Red VW above is probably just a background vehicle and most likely a GTi -- Last edit: 2006-07-28 04:13:04 |

>actually, the R32 is available in 3 door version too >www.speedsportlife.com/photopost/data/618/medium/DB2005AU01570_Medium.jpg I don't think the US will be getting the 3 door MkV R32s...we never get any of the good VW stuff here...although I'd rather have a 3 door R36 I could be wrong on that though...VW likes to throw us a bone every once and a while. This is the first year the US will recieve the 4 door GTi ever. -- Last edit: 2006-07-28 04:27:14 |

It's a next-gen R32. Now, why didn't Twinkie drive this instead of that dumb Touran? |
