I'm not sure what performance difference the Pentastar makes in the Grand Caravan but in my Avenger it makes a BIG difference. It has hubcaps and black colored mirrors so it is equipped in base Express trim. |

Well, the Pentastar V6 in the 2011 G/C (along with the T&C and VW Routan) have 283 hp. Competitors: Nissan Quest (2011): 260 hp (VQ series engine) Honda Odyssey (2011): 248 hp (3.5L V6) Toyota Sienna (2011): 266 hp (3.5 L 2GR-FE V6) In general, the Chrysler vans are now the most powerful in their class (by at least 17 hp). Now, also compare them to the 2007-10 model engine options (including MPG, city/highway): 3.3 L 175 hp (130 kW) V6 - 17/24 3.8 L 197 hp (147 kW) V6 - 16/23 4.0 L 251 hp (187 kW) V6 - 17/25 3.6 L 283 hp (211 kW) V6 - 17/25 The Pentastar 3.6: V6 makes a HUGE difference on the vans. |
