This is from Alan's "Crash, Bang, Wallop, What a Video!", a Jeremy Clarkson-style video compilation of car crashes which appears in the show. Clarkson started releasing these videos in the 90s, such as "Apocalypse Clarkson" and "Jeremy Clarkson's Motorsport Mayhem", and has made about a dozen to date (now he uses DVD format of course). I still have a couple of them at home, apparentely it was an excuse for him to do things he couldn't do on TV (Yeah, right! They do stuff like this all the time on Top Gear now), such as hurl a Nissan Sunny into the air with a medieval catapult and crush a Yugo 45 with a Chieftan tank. They cost about £10-£15 when they were first released in the mid-90s but now you can find them for about a quid in most charity shops. -- Last edit: 2006-09-30 16:03:04 |

See /vehicle_451833-Princess-1800-ADO71-1976.html from same footage - originally part of a 1988 public safety campaign about using rear seat belts. |
