In Europe, they're often available as accessories to give the american style to your truck. ![]() Anout the truck, I'd say Volvo. Either an F10/12/16 (1988-1993) or an FL10 from the same era. |

IIRC they are forbidden in Germany. Also self-luminous signs of the trucking-company on the roof or anywhere on the front side. Even the little christmas-trees with electric bulbs on the dashboard are forbidden. These are rules for the German registrated trucks, foreign trucks can have them. This kind of illuminating seems to be really popular in Denmark - they are often full with all kind of lights. In other countries, too, Belgium, Holland or Poland, but not that much. |

Did you mean in Germany they have it shining like this: /vehicle_153167-Chevrolet-Caprice-1986.html ? |

Yes. Plus little position lamps on the roof-edges (white for the front, red for the back). About orange one for the side I'm not sure. You see many trucks with them here, but probably always trucks from abroad. Germany is the biggest transit-traffic-country in Germany (just look on the map). Millions of trucks are running here, which are only passing the country, without any destination here. A real big problem, as our highways are overfilled due that. Plus many more accidents and terrible damaged infrastructure (one truck causes the same amount of damages to the street-construction as 10.000 cars ![]() |
