Good find Steve! I think it is a Cooper-Climax T51 1959, with rear engine propulsion ... |

I would rather say it is a Cooper T45: http://www.motorsnippets.com/cars/coys/COOPER_T45.htm T51: http://www.motorsnippets.com/cars/coys/COOPER_T51.htm 'Climax' is only the engines name. I would suggest we leave it out of the makers name to keep the 'Cooper' grouped together. |

Thank's Alex for your help about this picture, I wasn't sure if Climax was part of the make or not..i've got the answer now! about T45/T51 I agree as well |

It is like todays 'McLaren Mercedes' or 'Williams Renault'. The first name is for the car, the second for the engine ... usually I don't know if the year 1959 is correct -- might be earlier. |

Probably #14 "Jean Lucienbonnet" (= Lucien Jean Bonnet) - bought a Formula 2 Cooper T45-Climax in 1959 and entered the Monaco Grand Prix but failed to qualify by some margin in his only proper F1 race. https://alodecals.files.wordpress.com/2016/11/picture1144.jpg?w=1000 |
