Intrigued by the plates here - they look UK but CH xxx series was 1930-31 - and it looks like an AA badge in the grille. But clearly LHD, and possible UK or similar tax disc in windscreen on LHD kerbside. So I'm guessing a UK owner based abroad - eg BFPO etc but where? AFAIK Gibralter plates were G xxxx. Malta? Cyprus? -- Last edit: 2011-03-07 14:40:17 |

Malta and Cyprus both drive on the left. I thought I was a British Army on the Rhine plate, but it seems they all ended in B. Link to "en.wikipedia.org" |

There is also something odd about the roof - the rack is sitting a long way back and the above-door mouldings are built up and larger than usual. I can't find any evidence that a Mk1 Consul Estate was made, but this looks like some sort of conversion. |

@Gag: and not to forget, that the British Army on the Rhine mostly (always?) uses LHD-cars ![]() |
