Rolls-Royce Silver Shadow (unless it is a Bentley T-Series...) Location is in Amsterdam, Weteringschans, just opposite to the Rijksmuseum (National Museum). The building in the left background is a squatted house of which the squatters have been chased out by the police (which provoked war-like riots) in 1980, and immediately the building was torn down (must have been shortly after this picture was taken). Originally built as a milk factory, this was between 1 October 1924 and 24 June 1931 the building of the Citroën importer (since 1931 they are on the same spot and in the same building next to the Olympic stadium). |
