Apologies to stronghold ..... SS was correct the SS badge is clearly visible in one scene.

Just need to identify the actual model.

The S.S.2 9 HP started in 1931 and was followed by the 10 HP in 1933. From 1934 on it had a lower, so called underslung chassis. I think this one here is one with a low chassis.
The S.S.2 (or II, if you like) was available as a four door saloon (sedan), a coupé and an open tourer.

Reading the actual S.S. brocures for 1934 and 1935, the S.S. II tourer (II because of the narrower width) was introduced in 1935. In 1934 only the S.S. I tourer was made. (Although closed versions were available as S.S. I and II)

This I think is a restored version because the hexagonal instruments look to be a pre-1934 design. Also all illustrations seem to show three hinges on the door not two as in the picture.

Need to see if it's logged on the DVLA site (not working at the moment for me!). The number plate looks original.

The S.S brochure refers to the model as

"S.S.II Open 4-seater Sports" (10hp / 1343cc. or 12hp./ 1608cc.)
