Wrong front end for Honda S. Wrong side shape for MG B. I was thinking about Simca 1200 Bertone. Close but not match. It's something other... |

I still think MGB, but see what you mean about body side around the rear wheel arch. Car looks slightly modded - no front bumper and lights in grille, but still narrow wheels so rear arch widening unlikely. Recessed headlights match MGB, but Datsun Sports would look similar, or even a bumperless Spitfire/GT6, though smaller GT6 rear window outline would probably be outlined in the glare. Honda S800 too small, Midget/Sprite did not have recessed headlights. |

Well I was thinking about MGB GT also: Link to "bringatrailer.com" However this car here has more bulbous wings (rear especially) - if may I say - much wider hips than MGB. ![]() |

And it's a coupe, I suppose. Convertible shouldn't have misted up rear window. And feels rear-engined. -- Last edit: 2010-12-15 23:05:49 |

Grille opening definitely means front-engined to me - can't think of anything rear engined with a front grille area that big (apart perhaps from Simca, but agree with you that it's not one of those). Try a Spitfire without bumpers eg /i041118.jpg - I'm warming to the idea. |

i think it's a B GT as well... and i think that it does have a front bumper ~ complete with over riders similar to the B GT linked above. |

Yes, it has front bumper. One more thing doesn't match to MGB. It should have much wider grille. |

What about any sign of oilpan on front and wider rear track? |

MGB seems most likely, especially as the orange indicator/side marker lights are under the headlights. but the back end doesn't look right. I don't know quite why, but it makes me thing Italian, possibly Alfa. Then again, it could be an optical illusion due to the odd way the car it lit from behind. |

Definitely MGB from new picture - now clearly the early grille 66-69. -- Last edit: 2012-02-08 19:49:52 |
