Yes, a 1999. The headrests are showing it. My 99 ex-Bundeswehr-Omega has also these headrests, and it's strange to see, how rare the 99-Omega is. Mostly the Omega B, you can see on the streets, are older ones with the Volvo-style-headrests. |

I think the 1994-1999 Omega had both rectangular headrests with a hole in the centre and more rounded headrests with no hole. My dad's Omega (the Tourer model) has the first type of headrests. |

Wasn't the version of the headrests based on the model-year? I thought, only the latest Omega B, before the last facelift in end of 1999 had the headrests without hole. |

That's the one I was referring to, the pre-facelift Omega B, and that's what this is. It's definetely not the facelifted model, yes this car was made in 1999, but months before the facelifted model was released. I guess the reason you don't see as many post-facelift models could be because sales may have been declining in those years, that's why it's never had a direct replacement, except for that stupid Signum (a modified Vectra). Although in England I think I see just as many post-facelift Omegas as pre-facelift Omegas, the pre-facelifts are older and people don't seem to keep cars as long nowadays, plus they depreciate so badly that maybe people want to get rid of them while they're actually worth anything. -- Last edit: 2007-10-04 01:35:28 |
