1977-79 Caprice |

I believe 1979 can be eliminated. That year featured chrome horizontal divider bars on the parking lamp lenses. From what little can be seen of the grille, it looks more like a '77 than a '78. |

The grille is a bit visible here (2nd thumb): /vehicle_345238.html |

That photo rules out '78. Thanks. |

Looks like 1979 due to double headlights bezel and different front sidemarker. |

I guess the image resolution is just not good enough to see the bars across the parking lamp lens. |

It is the shape of the front sidemarker that is different from 1977/78 version. |

OK. This is what I meant about the parking lamp lenses and the bars over them present on the '79 models: 1979 Caprice brochure photo: Link to "www.oldcarbrochures.com" For comparison, 1978 Caprice brochure photo: http://img826.imageshack.us/img826/7236/24494305.jpg Also, nice photo of a '77 Caprice Estate wagon: Link to "www.oldcarbrochures.com" -- Last edit: 2010-10-27 21:57:59 |

This one should be listed as 1979 Chevrolet Caprice Classic. |
