I don't think they were ever sold in the US... |

It seems a few have migrated here by other channels. Maybe it's this guy's http://www.peachparts.com/shopforum/showthread.php?t=185326 |

We have some passenger versions with different headlights for the US market on the site: This one looks like an ex THW vehicle, especially due to the colour, the crew cab and the rooftop indicators. THW is a German volunteer emergency management organisation, here's a similar truck: http://commons.wikimedia.org/wiki/File:Thw_Mannschatslastwagen_mlw.jpg |

German ID card |

The ID-card is indeed lovely. Lovely and naively selfmade. A phoenix is not the German heraldic animal. So maybe the makers got a strong influence by a Vauxhall-hubcap. Tönz is right, it's a former THW-truck. Surely sold here: https://www.vebeg.de/web/en/verkauf/browse.htm (as my Omega and my wifes's Astra G, too). The plate -shall it be German?- is made with Swedish tools. The font is Swedish for sure. As it's filmed around L.A., as Gag wrote, maybe it's possible to find out, which collector or movie-car-rental-company around there owns a former THW-truck. There will be probably not very many around there. -- Last edit: 2010-10-16 19:58:50 |

It even has the typical extra indicators on the roof, as to see at an original one: Link to "www.vebeg.de" |

@ingo: I don't think the number plates on this show are made with real plate making equipment (except perhaps for US-style plates). To me they just look like flat printed graphics on pieces of plastic. |

This is possible, too. But Sweden uses indeed plastic plates since some years. |
