Wow, I really wasn't expecting this! VIN is LENFJ28SXPE005283, which looked very outlandish to me since it didn't begin with 1J. Looking it up, it was apparently built by Mercedes-Benz in Bejing (although Mercedes did not take over Beijing-Jeep until 2005, the connection is easy to make, since Chrysler already belonged to Mercedes at the time. Could...could this actually be a Beijing Jeep? |

It's very possible, since Chinese vehicles do end up making their way to Russia (and the baltics) |

Nah, there are no Chinese or JDM vehicles in the Baltics, unless you count the usual Chinese motorbikes and scooters. Now, I know Chinese vehicles are very popular in Russia but they're usually ones sold new there and not imported directly from the PRC. And...why would anyone take it up to themselves to specifically import a Chinese Beijing-Jeep? Especially in St. Petersburg like here. US and Western European imports are common there, this would be rather a car you'd find in the steppe or on the Pacific coast. -- Last edit: 2020-06-22 10:56:26 |

So, BJC Cherokee, built in China for CN? Chinese Cherokees are so rare in Russia I only found a single one on Google. |

I mean I cannot argue with the VIN I will change. |

Provided it really does belong to this Jeep, which I will boldly assume. |
