Freightliner never released the FLD in Australia. This is the FLC. They were released here in the '80s and still have a reputation as a solid workhorse. Probably more so than the more recent Freightliners. Still a fairly common sight on the roads. |

Can't believe this truck has an automatic transmission. I take it that it's on of Allison's 4700 push button series. I hate autos in trucks. |

all filmed in South Australia and the truck was bought from jamieson truck sales in parafield gardens on port wakefield road which is just up the road from where i live |

FLC 112 was introduced in Australia in 1989 and marked the introduction of the Freightliner brand into Australia. Initially it was assembled locally, but was fully imported after 1995. The real plate of this truck is SUE404 (South Australia plate). I contacted the owner of this truck (Sue, of course) and she told me it's a 1995 model. -- Last edit: 2026-04-09 05:20:03 |
