This front clip was introduced in 1979,plus it have shaker hood scoop,usual for 400ci engine,which was replaced with Turbo 301 in 1980,as well hood was changed on "asymmetrcal" one. |

this is a 81 trans am notice the 1 color hood bird!1980 was the last year they had the 5 color decals,81s had the 1 color which made them look like stencils.also if u look good enough at the movie it has the speaker grills in each side of the dash by the window which verifies it being a 81 cause they ddint start that til 1980 and 79s had the single speaker in the center of the dash by the window |
