Looks to me like a 1953 Packard Clipper DeLuxe Four Door Sedan |

No, 1951. Note grille bar pattern of '51 to '52 style and the presence of PACKARD letters across front of hood, a feature found only on the '51's. Side trim does appear to be from a '53, however. -- Last edit: 2010-07-30 17:36:10 |

Changing from "Clipper" to "200" as Clipper name not used by Packard from the '48 through the '52 model years. Appears to be a non-Deluxe 200 as no wheel trim rings evident. Note how the side trim on the left and right sides of the car do not match. This car has been altered. |

Thanks to 56clipper's comments on another photo, I am changing this back to a '53 Clipper. He mentioned the roofline/windshield juncture change from '52 to '53. While this car carries a '51 front, the basic car clearly appears to be a '53 Clipper. Someone has substituted a '51 front clip. Feel the listing should be keyed to the basic car. |
