The car in the main capture is a 2005 model as noted by the brass-colored Chevrolet "bowtie" on the grille. This is obviously a fake Dallas Police car as they have just barely introduced black and whites into their fleet and these decals are wrong. If you notice, the unit number for this car begins with a 3 (I can't make out the whole number completely). If this was a real Dallas PD car, then that would mean this is a 2003 model as that first number denotes the model year. However, the model year is correct as 2005 was the first model year for the Impala in their fleet. The car in the first thumbnail is a 2000-2004 model. |

It looks like a bunch of these Dallas P.D. "picture cars" were used in Ep. 1.03 ("The Comeback Kid") of "Chase" (/movie.php?id=1582458). One of them appears to be the same Impala with the same 7546P6 Texas exempt prop license plate. -- Last edit: 2012-02-11 21:24:25 |

Why combine them all here though? There's some Crown Victorias in the mix too. I'm sure owlman will get pictures up and going soon enough. |

If you've got 'em, upload 'em to the Chase page |

Hopefully he can get some without the buffer icon on top of the captures. |

I think owlman mentioned that he just did the pilot episode (Ep. 1.01), and wouldn't continue contributing to it. I just wanted to show that the same picture cars with the fake Dallas P.D. livery were used in another show filmed in the Dallas area. I made the captures from streaming video on Hulu, so they have the little buffer icon at the top. I don't want to use them for the main screencap if an image with better/higher resolution is available. -- Last edit: 2010-10-06 04:48:37 |

These are 2000-04 models with the bow ties sprayed over. No reason to think it's specifically a 2005. -- Last edit: 2019-09-08 00:00:40 |

There are a lot of mis ID'd 2005 models with older style worn badges. A LOT do not have the roof mounted antenna. |

These do, but it looks like the 2003-04 blob. |

This might be a cat amongst the pigeons, 2005 (by build plate) with no antenna: http://gtcarlot.com/colors/car/49657339-3.html (the rear panel even looks a bit reddish). Not sure it affects this one as the paint looks the wrong colour. There is more than one here though, so not all can be the same year. Those two are questionable though. The one has cop wheels. And looks modified. The other doesn't have a VIN. Not sure where this leaves us |

There's others with VIN and no antenna (the first two were just amongst the first few I've clicked on): http://gtcarlot.com/colors/car/8493031.html http://gtcarlot.com/colors/car/29831925.html http://gtcarlot.com/colors/car/35222011.html Maybe the lower spec (9C1, base civilian etc) ones did not always have it? |

Way to debunk this Sandie. Looks like you are correct. Thanks for clearing it up. |
