an_unusual_eye ◊ 2010-05-29 00:03	2000+. for the U.S., we started getting C5 sedans in 1998, and avants in 1999 with the C4 wagon carrying over for the 1998 model year... but for 1998 and 1999, the only C5 sedans we received were fitted with the normally aspirated 2.8 liter motors. our 1st 2.7T A6 models were sold as 2000 models. i had the pleasure for a while of owning a 2001 A6 2.7T MT-6, that to this day remains one of the best cars that i've ever held the keys for. this one is either a 2000 or 2001 model (only), as for 2002 the exhaust outlets were straight through the lower edge of the rear bumper cover rather than hidden "turn-downs", and this one is a non-"Sport Package" car based on the wheels. also... no space between the 2.7 and the T.

an_unusual_eye ◊ 2010-05-29 12:41	ahhh... my apology. i had based my assumption on the "made for the USA" oval. i don`t know for sure whether Canada received these on the same schedule as the U.S., or if the Canadian market may have had a different release schedule. someone will know for certain... but if all of the Audi of North America cars shared a release date ~ 2000+
