Why "impossible"? AFAIK, the Typ1/T1, was produced in South America quite a lot, so the export from Germany was not very big. I wrote before, that I have copies of the internal 1971-75 VW-export-statistics. The export to the bigger South American countries, especially Brazil and Argentina, was quite small (for example compared with French Guyana), as there were (maybe still are) strict regulations to protect the local production. |

This in Uruguay (or Argentina, not very clear), not very possible this Pick-up built in Brazil and sold in Uruguay. Ingo, the picture is a Typ2/T1, not Typ1/T1. Also Uruguay, is a country where cars come from any country and any mark, don't forget... and, Uruguay imported many VW's from Germany before then Brazil. The VW solds in Argentina are very low, and unofficial (don't exists VW Argentina until 1982). -- Last edit: 2010-06-26 01:46:11 |
