I doubt, that they had an remarkable export to Germany back then. Although the German industry (the left-overs after WW I and the hyper-inflation in 1923) was always very export-orientated, the imports were very restricted in the 20ies and the following decades. It became different after the introducing of the D-Mark in 1948. So it's rather a German make. |

There's a closeup of the emblem in the film, it's some sort of 4 quarter circles with a button placed in the center. There's even a plaque on the tiebar but too indistinct to read, and something equally indistinct on the spare tire cover as she drives away. -- Last edit: 2026-10-12 15:21:31 |

It's a Steyr! I saw this body and immediately thought of this entry: Link to "upload.wikimedia.org" And look at the badge! Overlaps very well with my description: Link to "032f65c6.delivery.rocketcdn.me" A quick scamper through the model history reveals it most likely a 1925+ Typ XII Cabriolet, either 3 or 4 seats (the top is down so hard to tell) Link to "steyrregister.com" -- Last edit: 2026-10-13 18:30:13 |
