Either a 100 BN1 1953 to 1955, or a BN2 1955/6. The only way to tell is the size of the front wheel arch cut-outs and the picture is not detailed enough to do this. You could also try the gearbox, three speeds BN1 four speeds BN2. |

... but it is a 100 either way, and if it is to appear with the other austin healeys, the dash (-) in the name needs to be removed as well. |

"an unusual eye" said "if it is to appear with the other austin healeys, the dash (-) in the name needs to be removed as well." After checking the reference books, the dash should be added to all Austin-Healey cars, rather than removed from this one. |

as john from Staffs says, should the Austin(-)Healey cars be updated to add the "-", and if so, can it be done through the server as a batch update..? |

I think I've found the car - DFL 213 - two-thirds of way down http://www.nutleysports.co.uk/TESTIMONIALS.htm . DVLA details for DFL 213 are: Date of Liability 01 04 2012 Date of First Registration 04 05 1983 Year of Manufacture 1955 Cylinder Capacity (cc) 2660cc CO2 Emissions Not Available Fuel Type PETROL Export Marker N Vehicle Status SORN Not Due Vehicle Colour RED Vehicle Type Approval Not Available A 1955 car could be BN1 or BN2, but DFL xxx series was issued March-July 55, finishing 3 months before BN2 launch. So it's a 1955 100/4 [BN1]. -- Last edit: 2011-10-12 22:46:39 |
