1956, and I'm surprised such a light truck could be used as a tow truck. |

The 3200 trucks have indeed a payload of ½-ton / 453 kg (1500 lb / 680 kg, in fact) but I think we're talking here about towing capacity, which is never given in brochures. Someone says here having towing loads up to 10,000 lb (4.5 t) with a 1954 ½-ton truck, which have a GVW of only... 4,800 lb (2.17 t)! Anyway, as a 3200 pickup from the Task-Force trucks line, "ours" has a 3204 chassis code: ⇒ 1956 Chevrolet Task-Force 3200 [3204] -- Last edit: 2014-11-16 03:41:28 |

Some years and readings later, I can see that if this truck has the 1956 only fender badge, it also has a 1957 hood (i.e. with the hood "spears" on it). I'm not sure that a hood is easier to change than a fender, but let's keep it as a 1956 model. |
