Perhaps it's the same vehicle as this: /vehicle_285088.html |

This one is an older model, it could also be a Dodge Colt like this one: /vehicle_285086.html -- Last edit: 2010-03-07 17:36:35 |

Not a Lancer or Mirage; Those names weren't used in North America until later. Its a Dodge/Plymouth colt. Its got a grille going up all the way to the hood and the headlights are level with it-not inserted a little-which dates it to 1987.The '85-86 Colts had grilles that were only half the height and the headlights were set deeper in. |

never to be known which one i'd guess... seems that someone should choose a default for when the difference can't be determined. memory (only) leads me to think that there were probably a greater percentage sold branded as dodges. i guess vanquishing it to the pit of eternal "unknown colt" would be the alternative. |

Dodge was selling "colts" long before Plymouth started putting their badge on it, so I automatically call them "Dodge Colts". It was the longer running, more established name.I guess thats my whole reasoning for it... |

They were sold as the Sentra in the U.S. and this car is not a Nissan Tsuru or Sunny. It's at least a 1987-88 Dodge/Plymouth Colt by the side markers. Not sure if the 2nd gen Mitsubishi Mirage sedan version was sold in the U.S. although I know the hatchback was. |

Mitsubishi did sell the Mirage sedan starting in 1987, but this one has the black bumper/lower fender combination, which I believe was only on the base model of the Colt. |
