Quite an unusual model too for the time. This appears to be an early model from the registration and the rear door lock, yet it has a rear door (which was unusual), looks like it was built only to have a door (there are no latches for the drop down tailgate on the tub, which is rare for utility models) and has alpine lights in the roof (the little windows, which are even rarer on utility models). It could be this was built as a station wagon and had the sides replaced with solid ones and the tropical roof skin removed, or it could just be a vehicle built to a specific requirement for a customer. Either way, in the 1960s this arrangement would have been unusual to say the least. |
