Did you mean Humber Hawk Pilou? A Humber would be my first guess, but the disc in the top centre of the grill is unusual even for a badge added by the owner.

No I meant Hillman Hawk. There have been Hillman Hawks ( fourteens) pre world war II .Those were part of the line of larger Hillmans with the sixteen and the 80.The Hawk name was transferred to the 1.9 litre side valve Humbers after the war .These were in essence the continuation of the Hillman fourteen. It is a bit unfortunate here that the windshield frame of the front car is hiding the hood mascot. Those Hillmans had a typical mascot.I agree with you that the disc in the top centre of the grille looks unusual.

Is this actually a Hillman Hawk. ? From frontal aspect,it looks more like a '36 Minx to me. Anyone agree?

The radiator grille appears to be divided with five horizontal bars as the Hawk. The Minx had about 15 smaller divisions. So Hawk is correct I believe.
