As I know, in the GDR only the successor-version were called Shiguli - for cars, which were in official use, as police-cars, not for private owned (if have understand the old GDR-terminology correctly).

Lada Riva in YU, too? Wasn't this name only used for the UK-market? In Western Germany it was named Lada Nova, in the GDR Lada 2105.

As I know, in the GDR only the successor-version were called Shiguli - for cars, which were in official use, as police-cars, not for private owned (if have understand the old GDR-terminology correctly).
