1964 or 1965 Ford Mustang coupe. The green car might be a Datsun 510. |

First model year for the Mustang was 1965. |

Actually I have a buddy that has a 1964 convertible. They were reffered to as 1964 1/2 Mustangs. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Ford_Mustang |

while they are referred to as 1964 ½ they are officially 1965s (this is true for all ½ year models) The title to your buddy's will say 1965 guaranteed -- Last edit: 2010-01-29 16:18:54 |

Agreed, as I have pointed out before. Ford sold NO Ford Mustangs as "1964" or "1964 1/2" models. All were VIN-coded as 1965's. (Years later, the auto press coined the term "1964 1/2 Mustang" to differentiate between early and late production body details. The Wikipedia article has helped to perpetuate this misconception.) -- Last edit: 2010-01-29 19:51:10 |
