If they were last made in 1945, wouldn't the WC56 have been obsolete by 1962? |

The command role of WC56-57-58 were obsolete in WWII (not point in drawing attention to the leadership command!) and very few produced. The Dodge 4x4 platform the WC series trucks were based on remained in practical use for many decades around the world. Very strong, reliable, easy to maintain and an ample supply of well preserved parts all contributed to the success on these tough old trucks. |
