In episode 5.4 "All Happy Families" Tony bought this brand new Xterra for his son Anthony Jr. (Robert Iler) in effort to get him to study harder and not fail high school. Tony told AJ he could only drive it once he improved his grades. It only appears in one scene and after that it is not seen for the rest of the series although AJ does say in later episodes that he is driving to school, so maybe he did get his hands on it. In series 6, a newer model (2005 onwards) Xterra is used as AJ's car: /vehicle_106598-Nissan-Xterra-2005.html It first appears in episode 6.11 (in the garage scene where Tony smashes the windscreen), then in various episodes from 6.16 to the final episode, where it catches fire when AJ parks it over some leaves in the woods (in New Jersey in winter!). However for the exterior shots of the burning car, they revert back to a previous model Xterra (2002-2004). In "Cleaver" (Christopher and Little Carmine's movie), we see the Mafia Boss (Daniel Baldwin) being butchered by the undead gangster with a meat cleaver for a hand, the camera focuses on this mirror ornament in this SUV as blood splatters onto the windscreen. In the spoof "Making Of Cleaver" documentary (available on the DVD and on the HBO website), we that is an Xterra (2002-2004 model, like AJ's). -- Last edit: 2012-03-15 22:49:15 |

Oh yeah, sure, because Land Rover and Subaru's are soooooooo much more esthetically pleasing. |

No reason for 2004. Reverted to 2002. |
