Not really. Bodies were "hand-made" at that time. Approx. 30 chassis of the 250 GTO were built in 62 and 63, from which 4 were "re-bodied" in 1964 with a different aspect. Only GTO specialists could assess whether it's a 62 or a 63. This model has not the 3 holes in his motorhood, that's maybe a tip to identify the year. |

Probably the 1963 Ferrari 250 GTO s/n 5111GT @ "Rallye des Routes du Nord" on 13 Feb 1965. Car nr. 6, reg. MO 96520, driven by the crew Guichet/Sauer, did not finish the race. Recent pic of 5111GT : Link to "www.barchetta.cc" |
