Should this be called 1956 Meteor instead of 1956 Mercury Meteor?

Yes, Meteor was the make.

This is not a Mercury Meteor but a 1956 (Canadian) Meteor Rideau Crown Victora 2 door coupe. It is a rare model , only 206 units were built with the transpafent panel in the front roof section. .Meteor was a make on its own ,distributed through the Lincoln Mercury dealers in Canada. So it should be listed as a Meteor , not a Mervury.

A bunch of Meteor's, Monarch's and other Canadian origin classic is to find here: http://www.nixdorfclassiccars.com/

In their interesting backyard http://imageshack.us/g/822/img0560wu.jpg/ the only have two modern cars - funnily each of them IMCDb-member-favourites :)

They are for sale IIRC, as the mueseum's people aren't really interested in them. The cars strayed to them, as it's often happens to classic car fans. Someday any persons are standing in front of the door any are saying "Eh, aren't you old car-fellows interested in my precious item?"

Maybe a temporary supporter of this museum and the former, already dissolved "Museum of Transportation" will appear here soon :) As some of his cars were used in movies, filmed in Vancouver, I've recommended IMCDb very intensively.

^ that one is a 1992-1993 JLX with Suzuki Genuine Accessories roof rack. Those roof racks are super rare in the states I just sold one that was rusted out on one side for $500.00 the other day.

:wow: incredible. I see this car many times here. I don't know if here are available these roof racks in other Suzuki vehicles

The roof racks seem to be readily available outside of the US it just appears they didn't sell many here when they were new.
