The above two images show Poirot (David Suchet) and Inspector Japp (Philip Jackson) preparing for the final scene on Hercule Poirot's Christmas - where they are seen exchanging christmas presents. The front seats were removed to allow the camera man to obtain the best angle for his shots, but I drew the line at them removing the windscreen as well! This shot was the last one of the day and it was raining heavily. The car was protected from getting wet by a large plastic sheet suspended over a framework of scaffold poles. Shortly after removing the car from under this canopy the whole thing collapsed due to the weight of the water. The other shot was taken at Chilham Castle (Kent) and the snow was totally artificial. I was awaiting the two main characters to leave the house and get in the car.
