these came to the U.S looking like this for '76 and '77 as a lancia scorpian... and with "glass" rear side panels for at least another year later. sold as montecarlo for most of the rest of the world (too much like chevy for us), although i've never heard the "beta" name attached to the mid-engined car, only to the front wheel drives. |

There are cars fitted with a brushed inox band under their rear lights and the scripts "Lancia" under the left light and "Montecarlo" under the right. Others with no band and having simple monograms "Lancia β" under the left light and "Montecarlo" always under the right, so Montecarlos have been part of the Beta range for some time and in some markets European mostly. |
