47-54 model?

'48 to '53 body style.
The Chevy P-U from those years had door vent windows begining in 1951.
If that applies to GMC's too, then this is a '48 to '50, since the pictured truck has none.

I think this might be a 1/2 ton with the pickup bed removed. Definetly doesn't look like a 1 ton or 2 ton.

Yes, this looks pretty light. A half-ton rating definitley puts this in the 100 series.

I agree, 100-22 1/2 ton long bed wheelbase

No, that's strictly a Chevrolet designation.

GMC 100 (½-ton payload), 150 (¾-ton payload) and 250 (1-ton payload) models share the same cab and at least one wheelbase (125¼"/3.18 m wb for the "long" 100, the 150 and for the "short" 250 models). I always wonder how one can "see a difference" with just that kind of "clue"...
This truck is a platform truck (usually "Class: Trucks, Simple truck" in the IMCDb), a "body" that was only possible on the 137"/3.48 m wheelbase of the 1-ton 250 model, for light-duty trucks.

The fuel filler pipe is under the bed, so a 1947-48 model of the 1947-55 New Design trucks line. Which means a FC-253 GMC internal code (XXX-22 was for the 1951-53 model years).

⇒ 1947 GMC New Design 250 Platform [FC-253]?
(With Class: Trucks, Simple truck)

My mistake. Looking at it twice (and more), the platform bed isn't a factory one, in fact. I saw a lot more Advance-Design and New Design truck since the last comment: I now think it's more likely a chassis-cab model with the smallest wheelbase (116"/2.98 m), which was apprently available, in 1947-48, both on the ½-ton 100 model (FC-101 model code) and on the 1-ton 250 (FC-251 model code) one.
Both having the same cab, it's therefore impossible to tell one over the other with this picture.
