No, the 1000 had a larger rear window and a one-piece windscreen; also a 948cc (later 1098cc) engine as against the Series II's 803cc - and believe me, it made a difference: I've driven both. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Morris_Minor |

The Minor 1000 went out of production in 1970, IIRC. Presumably the film-makers thought the audience for Hong Kong action films was too young to spot the continuity error; they didn't bargain for wrinklies like me on IMCDB. (BTW I've driven a series MM as well; I preferred it to the series II.) |
