Looks derivative of a 1948-50 Ford F-Series, but I'm pretty sure it isn't. |

Here's a picture of a Leyland in Israel, which looks a lot like: I think it was built by Leyland's plant at Ashdod sometime in the late 60s. Note that it seems to have a normal-control version of the LAD cab. |

Thanks, Raul1983 ... this is probably a locally-built Super Chieftain, although the home-market Albion version was invariably forward-control (COE). As far as I can tell the Super Beaver would be much larger than this. |

The cab from the firewall rearwards looks to be the same as the mid-1960s normal control Scammell/Leyland Contractor http://ccmv.fotopic.net/p47895389.html The Contractor's cab uses the majority of parts based on the Motors Bodies made 'LAD' cab. The hood/bonnet and front wings could be locally made in Israel. |

I thought that the lightest Ashdod Leyland model was the 'Clydesdale' ? There were 2 models with the Vin fiberglass, the super Beaver had another one which was not similar to the LAD one with a windscreen in two parts. |

A Super Beaver in Israel I think the Chieftain had an other bonnet length as the Clydesdale . |
