My father had a 1978 brazilian Chevette SL coupe with a similar front end, but with a split grille like a Pontiac. The 1982 model was given squared headlights and bigger red tail lights. |

The Chevette was based on the GM T-car platform developed by Opel in West Germany. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/GM_T_platform http://www.xs4all.nl/~mjs/WorldCar70s.html The first T-car model to go on sale was the Brazilian Chevrolet Chevette, which was not the same as its US namesake. http://www.muenster.de/~mnickel/history.htm http://www.muenster.de/~mnickel/brase.htm |
