The year of its glory, nice color.

The 1100 is a real "LX"?

:) The orange Simca 1100 with striping is an LX version (or was it sold as 'Elix' in France?).

I read once that PSA wants to revive the Talbot brand (well it was at least before the "global" crisis). They wanted to produce under this make their cheapest cars (similar like Renault with Dacia). Like for me it would be better to call these new cars Simca. Sure there were pre-war Talbots, but it is a very old story. Today's "automotive retro wave" is referring to the post-war times of the 1950's and 1960's, when Simca had nice and popular cars. So even if I do not very like retro in cars, reffering to this period could cause the bigger commercial success IMO.
In other words the Simca brand can back if they will read this. xD

Edit: most is listed as LX (1100).

Hmm, but the reputation of the names Simca and Talbot was heavily destroyed in the the 70ies and 80ies, when they had been the worst West European cars at all.

But whatever: Alfo Romeo and Lancia were known a premium brands in ancient times, too, but their reputation was collapsing (resp.destroyed by theirselves) in the 70ies, too. Today Chevrolet is doing it in a similar way. :/
