My wife had a Midget just like this one, and the same colour. Also like this one it had the distinctive Rostyle wheels. Hers was a 1974 car fitted with frightful, huge black rubber bumbers as required by USA regulations. The one showed here probably had those too. We kept it for many years, passing it on to our son in 1992. He had a rather bad accident in it, but I remember paying more than it was worth to get it back on the road. The Midget was immense fun to drive, though of course never really very fast on its 1,600cc OHV engine. The doors may be small but there is more room inside than you may think- certainly plenty of leg room. My wife and I went on a long touring trip that ended up in Jersey (Channel Islands.) We thoughly enjoyed that holiday but I dont remember where we put our considerable luggage!
