... and the 'rims with holes' are wheel-trims: I remember them well (but never fitted them). My money's on 1966. |

The rims on '66/7 Typ 1s were painted, black centres with white rims. Dammit, ingo, I had one. |

And I had 1966/67-rims in this style, but definetely painted in silvermetallic, like shown above, in my hands, original and New Old Stock.
