Looks like a 318I or a 320I foor door since they used 4 door 2 litre saloons in 97 and 98 in the Bathurst 1000 . |

The M3 stopped racing in Super touring after the 1991 season , and that was the E30 season . In 1992 the 318IS super touring took over in BTCC as a 2 door coupe the first year . In 1993 the 4 door 318 took over and raced untill the end of 1995, and then the 320I took over in 1996 , and it looked like this . In 1995 bodykits like this was introduced. So this is a Bmw 320I E36 . |

This is 1997 race as the Laguna spins behind. Looks like #12 numbering = Nigel Barclay private entry, Nigel Barclay/Blair Smith/Jim Cornish, listed as BMW 318i. Retired early - apparently before the Laguna. Surprised that it's LHD in Aus - maybe an ex-Europe factory car?? |

Right choice for this circuit as it's driven counter clockwise ![]() |
